Remote Learning Strategy
Our Targets
Term 1
- Newham PRUs is striving to further develop remote learning and the Google classroom experience and as such, 2021/2022 will be a year of further development and exploration. Our targets are simple but achievable and we hope to build a solid provision for all of our students.
- Ensure all students have access to necessary resources for remote learning.
- Ensure all students are able to access a full and broad curriculum through remote learning.
- Clear systems in place to support the remote learning process, with point of contact for home.
- Robust filtering systems in place for pupil internet safety.
- Delivery of multiple daily live lessons as part of remote learning
- Upskilling of staff
Term 2
- Online resources developed further to support and consolidate previously taught content
- Differentiation of online resources
- Links made between on-site learning and remote education
- Increased daily interaction with students, developing online and offline lessons
- Teachers developing routines and set work through Google Classroom.
- Accredited staff training towards Google educator status
- Use of Chromebooks onsite for learning in Google Classrooms
- All students with individual, accessible and recognisable Chromebook
- Development of marking and assessment systems in Google Classroom
Term 3
- Development of the Google platform for whole school use
- Staff qualify as Google educators
- Google technology is used to support engagement from students
- Mentoring and therapeutic interventions are developed and implemented using Google
- Seamless blended learning with use of online and paper-based resources as appropriate
- Clear pathways for onsite and remote learning
- Clear differentiated timetables for remote learning
- Pupils/homes discuss their work via the Google platform
